With the onset of autumn and the leaves turning all the colours of the rainbow many of our summer birds depart our shores to be replaced by foreign over wintering species.
After one or two early autumn gales most of the leaves will be stripped from the trees making it an ideal time for bird watching walks in the county.
With a nip in the air, crunchy leaves under foot and many beautiful birds on display, no wonder this season is so many peoples favourite, including ours.
